BEST PUB - a project created with a purpose to help discover and recognise the best pubs. Every pub and bar is eligible to participate in the awards regardless of it’s size, assortment or concept. The method of evaluation applied will be of anonymous visitations during which carefully selected experts will score the place according to it’s performance using a scale of different criteria.

Travelling through the whole country, BEST PUB team will not only hunt down the best tasting cocktails, rarest of spirits or a record number of beer taps - the whole focus of this endeavour will, of course, be quality. The singular goal - to find that place which carries not only great drinks and scrumptious foods, but that unforgettable experience which compels visitors to come back every time. That magic of absolution is not only created with a perfect menu, but also comprised of a pleasant smile of a bartender, clean floors and even a comfortable power socket layout: it’s not just a name, it’s the experience.

The project will also allow for the general public to discover new and already known place in a completely different light and for the participants to get an objective perspective on their performance compared to that of theirs peers.

Evaluation scores and the best pub top will be announced on the official project site bestpub.lt, the winners will receive their recognition during a private award ceremony.

Organisers

Vidmantas Čičelis –  beer sommelier, acquired his certification at the London Institute of Brewing and Distilling, has been educating hospitality industry professionals about craft beer culture for a few years now. Vidmantas is one of the organisers of the biggest craft beer festivals in Lithuania VAF and the owner of a pub in Vilnius, Local Pub.

Emilija Ferevičiūtė – started her journey to pub world from book publishing, retail and wholesale. Communication specialist who used her experience to organise the biggest craft beer festival in Lithuania, VAF and became an owner of a pub in Vilnius, Local Pub.
